DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF) – COVID-19 has claimed the life of a Dallas Police Sergeant.

48-year-old Sergeant Bronc McCoy died Wednesday at a local hospital. According to family members, McCoy was battling COVID-19 and was showing signs of recovery. But his fight took a turn for the worse earlier this month when his sister said he had a stroke and was put on a ventilator.
Dallas Police Chief Renee Hall called Sgt. McCoy a “dedicated” and “outstanding” Officer.

Dallas Mayor Eric Johnson thanked Sgt. McCoy for his service.
