Dallas Fair Park Receives $5-Million Gift

(WBAP/KLIF) — One of the largest donations to the Dallas Fair Park in decades was announced, Wednesday, as former Texas Senator John Corona and his wife Helen gifted $5-million for park renovations. Corona says the improvements to fair park are meant to preserve the experience for future generation.

corona and his wife reminisce about the memories they’ve as kids spending time at Dallas Fair Park, and now have enjoyed taking their grandchildren to the historic venue. Fair Park First CEO Brian Luallen says the couple made one of the largest donations in history to rejuvenate the venue with vast improvements.

The City of Dallas came together to fund the building of Fair Park in 1936, and this donation by the Coronas build upon that legacy. Improvements will center around the plaza experience outside of the Cotton Bowl.
