Lake Dallas ISD transitions to Reduced-Priced School Meals

School lunch 1

Lake Dallas, TX (WBAP/KLIF) – Lake Dallas is transitioning back to reduced-price school meals and applications for free lunches. Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, Congress authorized schools to serve free meals to all students. However, this year LDISD will start distributing letters and applications for free or reduced-price school meals.

Families are encouraged to complete the application online at ldisd.net. The application will determine a child’s eligibility for free or reduced-price meals. While the application may determine for other state or federal benefits, each family only needs to complete one application per household.

Each household only needs to complete one application and the school will notify them of the child’s eligibility. The Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA) offers an eligibility calculator to see if a specific household qualifies for this resource.
