Austin, TX (WBAP/KLIF) – In an effort to help displaced workers in the Texas, the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board recently doled out over $18-million to 49 colleges and universities across the state, for the “Texas ‘Re-skilling Support Grant Program.”
It was the first phase of funding targeted for those who may need to “re-skill” or “up-skill” in order to find new employment.
The grants are also available to Texas students who previously stepped away from college without completing a post-secondary degree.
