Texas Attorney General Speaks Out for Change at the State’s Border

AUSTIN (WBAP/KLIF) – The Southern Texas border is struggling with overcrowded facilities for migrants seeking asylum. Also, the border patrol says about 4,500 people are apprehended each day, trying to cross over illegally.

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton was recently interviewed on Fox News. He says the problem is only getting worse. Paxton is urging Congress to come up with a compromise soon to relieve the overwhelming conditions at the border.

He says President Donald Trump is “doing whatever he can to address this issue and he’s running up against a brick wall Congress who has been failing miserably at doing anything.”

Paxton says Texas has been dealing with border issues for many years and doesn’t have the manpower or facility space to accommodate the ever increasing massive numbers.
