Dentist-pilot crashes at Granbury Airport

Granbury (WBAP/KLIF) – A dentist was injured Sunday evening when his private plane suddenly veered off the runway while he was attempting to take off from Granbury’s airport. Dr. Michael McCoy told rescuers his plane’s rudder stuck as he was practicing take offs and landings, causing the craft to veer off to the left. He said he was not injured in the crash, but cut his leg on a barbed wire fence while making his way back to airport property.
