Santa Fe, Texas I.S.D. preparing school security upgrades

Santa Fe (WBAP/KLIF) – The leaders of the Houston area school district where 10 people were shot to death in May meet Monday to consider ways to beef up security. The school board of the Santa Fe Independent School District plans to vote on installing metal detectors in its schools. It is also thinking of revising the district’s student dress code to ban trench coats. The student who shot up the school was wearing a trench coat when he did so.
