The U.S. will “be involved” in the criminal trial of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, President Donald Trump told CBS.
Netanyahu faces criminal charges of bribery, fraud, and breach of trust in a trial that began in 2020 but is still in the cross-examination stage.
He is accused of accepting hundreds of thousands of dollars in bribes from wealthy business executives and of granting regulatory benefits in exchange for favorable news coverage.
