Iran gave advance notice to Qatari officials that it was launching attacks on the U.S. base in the country, reports The New York Times.
Iran’s armed forces said in a statement that it “targeted the Al Udaid base in Qatar with destructive and forceful missiles.”
According to the Times, Al Udeid Air Base, the forward headquarters of U.S. Central Command, has 10,000 military and civilian personnel.
