Evanston Mayor Daniel Biss got into a tense conversation with Border Patrol Chief Greg Bovino on Wednesday as the Trump administration continues its crackdown on illegal immigration in the Chicago suburbs of Illinios.
Video that spread rapidly on social media showed Bovino and other federal agents in the northern Chicago suburb as Biss and Bovino engaged in a close exchange.
Biss scolded Bovino over a list of actions he found “unacceptable” by federal agents, including alleged “violence.” Bovino responded that he was there to make his city “safe.”
