Ex-Border Agent to Newsmax: US Must Stay Free Even After Kirk Shooting

Americans must remain vigilant but also committed to freedom following the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk last week, Terrell County (Texas) Sheriff Thaddeus Cleveland, a retired Border Patrol agent, told Newsmax on Sunday.

“Of course, this year alone, we’ve seen other political personnel targeted. Cleveland noted that while political figures understand the risks of public life, further security measures at campaign and public events are inevitable.
