CBS/YouGov Poll: Trump’s Approval Rating Up 2 Points

President Donald Trump’s approval rating rose 2 percentage points, buoyed by a slight boost from independent and moderate voters, according to the most recent CBS News/YouGov poll.

Released on Sunday, the survey found that 44% of Americans approve of the job Trump is doing, up from the 42% who said the same thing in July.

The increase in support marked the end of a monthslong slide in the president’s second-term approval rating. In February, shortly after Trump took office, his approval rating stood at 53%, but fell to 45% by June.
