DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF NEWS)- Dallas Mayor Eric Johnson has declared Friday, March 6 “Meals on Wheels Day” to kickoff the 18th annual March for Meals campaign.
The designation celebrates VNA Texas, an organization that provides meals to the hungry all throughout Dallas County.
Nearly 4500 home-bound or disabled seniors currently receive home delivered meals each weekday in Dallas County alone.
Throughout the rest of march, elected Dallas officials will be delivering these meals to show the importance of good nutrition and companionship.
