North Texas Gas Prices on the Rise!

(WBAP/KLIF) — Expect to pay more at the pump as you fill your vehicle this week.  AAA-Texas released a report indicating gas prices are up 12-cents a gallon in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

In Arlington, motorists are paying an average of $2.17 a gallon, while the state-wide average is $2.14. The good news is that Texas still has some of the cheapest gas in the nation.

Daniel Armbruster of AAA-Texas says the local jump is much higher due to several factors.  The reason for the jump is a rise in crude oil and wholesale gasoline prices.

Of the major metropolitan areas surveyed in Texas, drivers in El Paso are paying the most on average at $2.36, while drivers in San Antonio are paying the least at $2.05 per gallon.
