(WBAP/KLIF) — The Dallas ISD is expanding the highly successful ACE program to include eight more schools for the 2020-2021 school year. The Accelerating Campus Excellence program is responsible for an increase in student academic performance and attendance.
Dade Middle School principal Tracie Washington the program is successful due to a key focus of teamwork. The program provides incentives to teachers and principals to work voluntarily in the district’s highest-needs schools. The seven schools which participated last year were awarded 22 state distinctions for academic performance.
ACE Executive Director Jolee Healey says the program focuses on five areas and has been in place since 2015.
