FORT WORTH (WBAP/KLIF)- Fort Worth police say a 60-year-old woman is dead after an SUV crashed into her apartment Monday morning.
Fort Worth Officer Brad Perez said the woman was in her bedroom at the time. Perez said as the vehicle was attempting to reverse into it’s spot something happened that caused the vehicle to accelerate in a reverse position and crash into the apartment.
“The investigation may take some time…at this time there are no charges pending for the driver but this is still an ongoing investigation,” said Perez.
Perez said it’s unknown what caused the driver to accelerate in reverse and is looking into a possible hit and run with another driver in connection to the crash.
The woman’s 8-year-old grandson was also in the apartment but was not hurt and the driver wasn’t hurt either.
This happened at the Reserve at Centre Point Apartment Homes near Trinity Boulevard and Texas 360.
