ARLINGTON (WBAP/KLIF) – The Arlington Police Department is working two commercial burglaries where investigators believe the suspect targeted fine jewelry stores.
According to Police, on Saturday, December 7, the suspect attempted to burglarize Robbins Brothers located in the 100 block of E. I.H. 20 Service Road. The suspect turned the power off to the business and threw objects at the glass door but was unsuccessful in making entry.
On Sunday, December 8, investigators believe the same suspect burglarized the Zales Outlet located in the 4100 block of S. Cooper Street before the business opened. In that case, the suspect used a small hydraulic tool to break the storefront glass and make entry. An undisclosed amount of jewelry resulting in thousands of dollars in losses were taken.
In both of the Arlington cases, the suspect arrived at the location in a late 90’s model Chevrolet S-10 or GMC Sonoma pickup. The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, 5’10” to 6’ tall and possibly late 20’s to mid-30’s. The Mansfield Police Department notified Arlington that the Zales Outlet located the 1800 block of U.S. 287 Frontage Road was also burglarized on Friday, December 20, 2019 before the business was open. Investigators believe that the same suspect in the Arlington cases may be related to the Mansfield offense. In the Mansfield location, an undisclosed amount of jewelry was taken resulting in several thousands of dollars in losses.
