ARLINGTON (WBAP/KLIF News) – Veterans, active military and their spouses are invited to a 8th annual “Hiring Red, White and You!” job fair in Arlington Thursday afternoon.
It’s part of a hiring campaign that will be held in 31 Texas cities simultaneously.
It’s hosted by Workforce Solutions for Tarrant County, The Texas Veterans Commission and The Texas Workforce Commission. They’ve joined forces with 150 local employers who are offering 5,809 positions.
Some of the companies attending include Amazon, Bell, Cook Children’s Health Care System, Gaylord Texan Resort, JPS Health Network, Texas Rangers and UPS.
Job seekers can pre-register for the FREE event here. Anyone is invited but the fair is giving priority to veterans.
It’s being held at the Globe Life Park in Arlington and runs from 10 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Workforce Solutions said the annual fair has connected more than 84,153 job seekers, including 35,485 vets and 48,668 spouses, to 14,420 employers and adds there have been over 2,027 same-day hires in a seven-year span.
