DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF)- A valid voter registration card is a free ticket to ride Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 5th.
Riders can ride DART bus, light rail, Paratransit, or Trinity Railway Express (TRE) commuter rail between CentrePort/DFW Airport station and EBJ Union Station.
“Mobility should not be a barrier for exercising ones right to vote so we encourage anyone to get to the polls and exercise that right,” said Mark Ball with DART. “We do think this is an important vote, Texas will weigh in on 10 proposed amendments to the state constitution dealing with everything from banning the states income tax to guaranteeing funding for state parks…and the easiest way to go to the polls is to ride DART,” he said.
To find a ride service near you visit DART.org or call customer information at 214-979-1111.
Tarrant County riders will also have free rides on election day with Trinity Metro’s fixed-route bus, TEXRail, ACCESS paratransit, Tarrant County Transportation Services (TCTS), and Northeast Transportation Services (NETS), and Arlington’s Via and Handitran
