[VIDEO] Drama Outside the Home of McKinney’s Mayor & a McKinney Movie Theater

McKinney, TX (WBAP/KLIF) – Protesters, led by controversial Dallas activist Dominique Alexander are seen in a Facebook live video, purportedly outside the home of McKinney Mayor George Fuller over the weekend.

They were there, according to Alexander, at the invitation of the mayor, to protest comments Fuller reportedly made about the McKinney Police arrest of a teenager outside a Plano movie theater last weekend.

“What happened right out of this was Mayor George Fuller putting more assault on him, and actually criticizing this family … criticizing this young man,” Alexander shouted to the crowd of about 2 dozen protesters.

They also protested outside the Cinemark 14 theater in McKinney, the site of the incident which led to the arrest.

14-year old Jasper Miller had been among several teens booted from the theater for alleged disruptive behavior.  Miller claimed that he did nothing wrong.

Meantime, activists on Friday shouted chants like, “What do we want … justice,” in support of Miller who they believe was the victim of aggressive police conduct.

Miller was confronted by police while walking outside the theater. Officers shouted for him to stop or he would be arrested.  At which point the boy laughed and started running.

The video below picks up after Miller was apprehended:

The family’s attorney says police went too far in making the arrest.
