Condition Improving for Pregnant Shot Mother and Delivered Baby; VIDEO of Suspect Gunman

 

Police release surveillance video of the suspect entering the CVS Store on Mocking Bird Lane near SMU:

 

UDPATE 11-09 4:45 PM – University Park Assistant Police Chief Jim Savage says police officers from his department, paramedics, and officers with SMU Police have visited with the shooting victim, 29 year old Orelia Hollins and her delivered baby boy in hospital, and they are both recovering after the mother bore the brunt of two gunshot wounds to the waist area.  The condition of the child;”squirming like a baby does”, says Savage.  The officer says tips continue to come in as to the identification of the shooter, who has a distinctive gait, or style of walk, in video of the suspect before and after the botched robbery. Anyone with information is asked to call University Park Police, or go to the website “SOLVEACRIME.COM”.  CVS is offering a $25,000 reward for helpful information in the case.

UPDATE 11-03 1:55 PM – University Park Police say doctors have delivered a baby boy to the female victim shot.  Both mother and baby are reprorted incritical, but stable condition. University Park Police say they are releasing just one still image of the suspect to the public, as the entire surveillance videotape contains information that could impede the investigation.

UPDATE 5:46 PM – Police release a photograph of the suspect in hopes someone will help identify the man.

DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF News) – A shooting at a Dallas CVS store left one employee shot and hospitalized.

According to police, a suspect entered a CVS store at 3012 Mockingbird Lane about 6:40a.m. today, demanded money, and shot an employee who was eight months pregnant.

The woman was taken to Presbyterian Hospital, but the condition of she and her unborn child are unknown at this time.

University Park Police are investigating. They said the suspect ran away on foot, and did not take any money. At the time of the attempted robbery, the only other employee in the store was not injured.
