Early Voting Ends, Polls Open Tuesday in November Elections

DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF) – Friday marked the last day of early voting in next week’s November general election.

Texas voters are considering ten constitutional amendments proposed by state lawmakers. Those amendments range from the state’s tax code to the retirement of K9 Police Officers. Municipal items are also on the ballot in some Texas cities.

Election Day is Tuesday but Collin County Elections Administrator Bruce Sherbet said he doesn’t expect a huge turnout, being an odd-numbered year.

“We’ll probably end up seeing somewhere around a 5% turnout for this election which is not unusual for these November odd year elections,” Sherbet said.

According to Sherbet, about 70-percent of the vote is typically cast during early voting in an odd year election.

Polls will be open Tuesday from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m.
