It happened around 6 a.m. as thunder and lightning storms moved across North Texas.
The bolt sent debris flying and left a 15 by 15 feet wide hole, according to the Fort Worth Fire Department.
The department said crews responded to the scene shortly after the hit and have blocked a large section of the parking lot off to deal with the situation.
Fortunately, no one was injured because of the strike.
A reporter at our media partner WFAA TV obtained video of the strike in action.
