Fort Worth (WBAP/KLIF) – Fort Worth based American Airlines is now using facial recognition software for international flights at DFW International Airport.
It’s a system that matches a scan of a passengers face taken at the gate with a passport photo on file with u.s. customs and border protection.
American tested the program last year on select flights, but says they’re ready to roll it out in full.
The airline says customers will still need a physical or digital copy of their boarding pass and their actual passport to get through TSA security lines
