Funeral Services to be Held Monday for Dallas Woman Killed Near Lower Greenville Last Week

DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF News) – Funeral services for the 22-year-old woman who was brutally murdered on her birthday in Dallas last week are set for today.

According to an arrest affidavit, Sara Hudson was sexually assaulted, shot and killed near Lower Greenville and her body was found in her burning SUV.

Investigators said 49-year-old Glen Richter forced Hudson back into her car after she had gotten out to meet family and friends for her birthday celebration.

He’s then accused of forcing her to go to an ATM before committing the murder.

Richter is charged with capital murder and is being held in Dallas County Jail on a $1 million bond.

In a statement Hudson’s family talked about how much the recent college graduate would be missed:

“Sara was a young woman of immense talent and immeasurable potential…The world is a more precious place because of her and sadder now without her.”

Hudson’s funeral is being held at the Saint Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church in Dallas at 4 p.m.
