DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF) – The Dallas City Council voted Wednesday to approve an economic incentive package for an expansion of Uber Technologies in the City of Dallas.
City leaders believe Uber’s expansion will bring thousands of high-paying jobs and a $110 million investment to the city.
“The City Council’s vote for this competitive economic incentive package illustrates Dallas’ continued commitment to innovation and strengthening its workforce,” said Dallas Mayor Eric Johnson. “We are looking forward to hopefully welcoming Uber to Dallas very soon.
Uber is expected to make a final decision on its new site selection this fall.
