DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF) – Thousands are expected to honor the Dallas officers killed in the July 2016 ambush with the annual Run for the Blue event Saturday morning.
The annual event started after the July 7th, 2016 ambush in Downtown Dallas that resulted in the loss of four Dallas police officers and one DART officer.
Donations from the event go to officers and families in need.
The event starts at Babb Brothers BBQ in Trinity Groves.
A ceremony will also be held for officers who run in uniform.
The two courses are a 5K and one-mile run.
