Another Credit Card Skimmer Found at North Texas Gas Station

SOUTHLAKE (WBAP/KLIF News) – A credit card skimmer was found at another gas station in North Texas.

The Texas Department of Agriculture said it was found on a pump at Scooter’s Superstore on Highway 114 in Southlake.

It was discovered by a state inspector who was responding to a complaint and was removed on April 23rd.

Earlier this month, a skimmer was found at the Valero Smart Pump on West Randoll Mill Road and North Cooper Street in Arlington.

The device allows criminals to gain access to a customer’s debit and credit card information.

Officials advise customers to follow these tips to keep their information safe:

Use pumps closest to the stores.
Look for any damage to the credit card reader or security tape on the pump and report any issues to store employees.
Use cash or credit card instead of a debit card.
Keep an eye on your bank accounts after filling up your car to make sure there are no unusual charges.
