DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF News) – True to form, Democrat Beto O’Rourke started the day with a rally in his hometown of El Paso. According to a press release, O’ Rourke has a series of rallies scheduled across the state, including a stop at Texas Southern University in Houston, a historically black university, late this afternoon around 5 p.m. CT
According to the campaign, the hometown rally was scheduled to be live-streamed at over 1,000 volunteer organized watch parties taking place in every state and U.S. territory. The rally was also to include a performance by Chapin High School Marching Band Drumline, and remarks by Amy O’ Rourke & U.S. Congresswoman Veronica Escobar.
O’Rourke plans to finish the night with a rally in front of the Texas State Capital in Austin. 46 year-old O’ Rourke is a fourth generation Texan, born and raised in El Paso. He had a historic run for U.S. Senate in 2018, visiting all 254 Texas counties.
