DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF News) — The Association of Professional Flight Attendants is asking Fort Worth based American Airlines to investigate a video skit that the union says is sexist and objectifies women.
The video was posted to social media and shows several flight attendants flirting with an executive class passenger while singing suggestive lyrics that parody the song “Big Spender.”
“This cannot be happening in today’s environment. We will not tolerate our profession being objectified in a sexist manner,” said APFA National President Lori Bassani. “We want the facts about the company’s involvement, and we want answers.”
The skit was part of a private, customer-organized fundraising event.
American says the company is upset with the video and have reached out to flight attendants.
