Rowlett Police Arrest Student For Making School Shooting Threat

​ROWLETT (WBAP/KLIF News) –​ Rowlett Police have arrested a 16-year-old student for making a school shooting threat against Rowlett High School. A student at the school alerted campus resource officers after receiving a Snapchat message indicating an upcoming shooting at the school. Police tracked the message to a 16-year-old student and arrested him. Police are still investigating whether the threat was credible or a prank. They credit the communication and cooperation between students, campus officers and police. Rowlett Police Lieutenant David Nabors says the student could face up to six months in jail and a 4-thousand dollar fine
