Dallas Morning News Announces Layoffs

DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF) – The Dallas Morning News has laid off over 40 people in a move described by the paper as a company-wide reorganization.

The paper announced on its website Monday that about 20 of the layoffs are from the newsroom involving writers, editors and others.

Publisher Grant Moise was quoted in the Morning News story as saying, “In 2019, we are committed to aligning the company’s investments and resources with the goal of becoming the best possible subscriber-first digital organization.”

Various employees took to twitter announcing the decision as well.
