Frisco (WBAP/KLIF) – The Frisco Police Department reported several incidents of aggressive coyote attacks near Eldorado Parkway/
Ryan Chandler with Frisco police says a jogger suffered significant neck injuries and had surgery after a coyote attack Wednesday morning. The coyote is still on the loose.
“If at all possible we’re encouraging the public to stay away from the area. If they do still have to be in the area we encourage taking something they can make a loud noise with to scare off the coyote.”
The jogger is now in stable condition. A young child was also among targets of the animal.

Frisco Police offered tips for avoiding interactions with it:
Consider altering your plans for walking or jogging in the affected area until the aggressive coyote is captured.
If you do walk or jog in the affected area, consider carrying something that makes a loud noise to scare off an animal, such as an airhorn or whistle.
Avoid walking small animals in the affected area until the coyote is captured.
If you do walk small animals, be sure they’re on a leash.
Do not allow domesticated animals to roam free outdoors.
Do not approach or feed wildlife and keep trash in a secure container.
Anyone who sees an animal that appears aggressive should call 911 or Frisco police at 972-292-6010.
