ARLINGTON (WBAP/KLIF)- A model of the new texas rangers globe life field was unveiled Tuesday. The field will be just south of the original, 1.7 million square feet with over 40,000 seats. Rangers Executive Vice President of Business Operations Rob Matwick said it has a retractable roof so they can have events year round. “This will create consistent conditions for our fans and players… I think we had 20 games impacted by weather this year whether it’s rain delays or threat of rain,” Matwick said. Matwick said he’s excited to add another stadium to arlington’s entertainment district March 2020.
