DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF) – Three firefighters were injured while battling a four-alarm fire at the Cambridge Park Apartments off Audelia Road. The fire started around 9:00am Tuesday.
The firefighters, who were trying to put the fire out, had to be rescued after making a Mayday Call. They were evaluated and are expected to be okay.
One other person was hospitalized for smoke inhalation and is also expected to be all right.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
The American Red Cross is on the scene to assist first-responders and residents of the complex.
Richardson Independent School District is also volunteering to help. 14 families and 19 students involved with the district live at that complex.
