FORT WORTH(WBAP/KLIF)- A Fort Worth non-profit dedicated to helping the homeless was robbed of over $18,000 worth of electronics.

Gary Wilkerson Executive Director of ‘When We Love’ said they caught 2 men and one women on surveillance camera, stealing laptops TVs and more.

Wilkerson said one of the three was a homeless man  they let stay overnight. Wilkerson said Williams volunteered with them for about 8 months, “When the cold weather rolled in, we knew he was sleeping under a bridge so we let him stay overnight,” Wilkerson said. “He took advantage of that.”

Wilkerson said looking at surveillance footage, the three suspects started loading trash bags with electronics just 30 minutes after Wilkerson had left.

“We trusted him, mentored him we really thought he was on the right road to fixing his life and to have this happen to us is kind of a gut punch to us,” Wilkerson said.
