Mary Kay Opens New Lewisville Facility, Brings Hundreds of Jobs to North Texas

LEWISVILLE  (WBAP/KLIF News) – Mary Kay has opened its new research and development center in Lewisville and is bringing hundreds of new jobs to North Texas.

The Addison-based company’s Chief Investment Officer Ryan Rogers said the new center will consolidate its various North Texas facilities and perform most production tasks.

“Quality, stability and packaging design. It just runs the whole gamut from production creation to product delivery and inventory,” he said.

Employees from the Regal Row facility in Dallas, which opened in 1969, and the Addison headquarters will move to the new location and they’ll continue to hire through next year.

The goal is to have 700 employees on site by the first quarter of 2019.

“We’ve already hired more employees. We’ve hired new scientists. We expect to grow here for a long, long time and we expect to hire even more in the future for sure,” said Rogers.

Mary Kay Ash launched her beauty company “Beauty by Mary Kay” in 1963 and it his since turned into a multi-billion dollar international business.

The company is one of the largest direct sellers of skin care and cosmetics in the world.
