Fort Worth Man Involved in Police Shooting found Guilty on Misdemeanor Charge

FORT WORTH (WBAP/KLIF) – A man involved in a shooting with Fort Worth police 2 years ago was found guilty Monday on a misdemeanor charge.

A Tarrant County jury found Ed McIver Jr. guilty of evading arrest and not guilty of tampering with evidence and hindering apprehension. In March 2016, McIver and his father Ed McIver Sr. were involved in an ambush when McIver Sr. shot a Fort Worth Officer. Officer Matt Pearce nearly died, McIver senior was killed in the chase.
