East Texas Man Arrested After Searching Dark Web for A Young Girl to Murder and Eat

(Shelby County Jail)

East Texas (WBAP/KLIF) – A Shelby County man was apparently on the hunt for a young girl — to murder … and eat.

KTRE-TV reports that 21-year old Alexander Barter was arrested on Oct. 19 following an undercover sting involving the dark web, where he sought anyone interested in allowing him to commit “necrophilia and cannibalism.” Barter reportedly gave two encrypted email addresses to reach him.

An undercover agent responded, posing as someone who was interested.
In response, Barter allegedly replied, “Nice! I’m in East Texas. How old is your daughter? Can we kill her?”

In several more email exchanges, Barter allegedly detailed a plan to meet up with the “father and daughter.”

“I’m not going to change my mind about this,” Barter wrote, according to the affidavit. “I really want to do this.”

KTRE reported that Barter was arrested outside his residence when he went to meet the undercover agent and his “daughter.” He had a plastic trash bag and knife with him, the affidavit said. He also told the “father” to report the girl missing and say that she had run away.
