DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF) –  With thousands of people coming to the State Fair for the Texas/OU game, Dallas Police are beefing up security. “We have on-duty and off-duty officers in and around Fair Park to keep people safe, make sure traffic is going smoothly,” Corporal Demarquis Black with the Dallas Police Department said. Dallas Police have teamed up with DART to make sure mass transit is safe as well. “We do have cameras on all of our platforms and on our buses, we don’t fool ourselves, we know this is our busiest day,” DART  Director Mark Ball said.

Ball said  DART transit services created a State Fair Game Day Survival Guide for the game. There will be changes to some of the routes to make it easier for fans to get to and from the game. The orange line will be picking up passengers and dropping them off at green line connections and green line will be going in a loop from downtown to fair park station. Dart Employees recommend for riders to buy a $6 all day pass on the free GoPass app, and receive $2 off fair admission. Fair gates open at 7 am, fair staff urges people to come early and buy coupons online to avoid long lines.
