DALLAS/FORT WORTH INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (WBAP/KLIF) – As hurricane lane approaches Hawaii it may be difficult for visitors to get back to DFW.

Patsy Sova Manager of a local travel agency, All Aboard Travel, says flights have operated on time since Friday morning but it could be affected over the weekend.

“The flights coming back are completely sold out because people are wanting to get home it doesn’t make sense to sit there,” Sova said.

She said this is difficult for travelers who want to get home earlier than planned but said flights should open up by Monday.

Sova said to try an plan for an alternative.  “If you cannot get off the island following the state and local official advises, hunker down and wait out the storm,” she said.

She tells travelers to contact their airlines or travel agent immediately to figure out the best possible option of getting out and staying safe.
