DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF News) – A suspect is dead and a Dallas police officer is in stable condition after a shooting incident early Friday morning.
Assistant Police Chief Paul Stokes said officers were responding to an “armed encounter” near Jim Miller and Military Parkway around 5:20 a.m.
He said an undercover officer came upon two suspects and shots were exchanged.
“The officer was struck in the leg and one of the suspects was struck and pronounced dead at the scene,” he said.
The second suspect ran away but was eventually caught and arrested.
We are happy to say that the injured officer is in stable condition and is in good spirits at the hospital.
