Dallas – (WBAP/KLIF) – A Dallas County judge rules against a trial delay for a former Balch Springs police officer accused of murder in the death of a 15 year old boy. The judge did rule to allow exclusion of a prior incident, meant to show a pattern of abusive behavior. Roy Oliver is charged with murder in the shooting death of Jordan Edwards in April of 2017. He was in a car being driven away from a party when shot. Tuesday, Oliver’s attorneys were denied recusal of the Dallas County District Attorney’s office. Center of the case is expected to be body cam footage, showing the teen’s shooting.
