Ted Cruz and Beto O’Rourke Campaign in North Texas

Updated: 8/15/18

Dallas-Fort Worth (WBAP/KLIF) – At a rally in McKinney this morning Republican Senator Ted Cruz says it’s important for Republicans to get out and vote to maintain the progress he feels they’ve made.

“We have a Republican president, we have Republican majorities in both houses of Congress and for the past year-and-a-half, we have been delivering real results.”

Cruz says his opponent Beto O’Rourke and the left, are uniting behind a hatred of President Trump; and that Republicans need to unite for the love of country.

Meantime, at a town hall in Richardson, thousand of people stood in line to hear O’Rourke.

Supporter Larry Baron was among them. He said he thinks the Democrat is gaining momentum over Cruz.

“Well, I’ve seen him once before, but I wanted to see him live, again, I like the message that he has, alot of the different issues that he supports and I think that change is coming to Texas much quicker than anybody ever envisioned.”

O’Rourke was in the area a day after he announced a TV ad campaign in his race against Republican Ted Cruz that will surpass $1 million. To date, O’Rourke has out-raised Cruz in campaign funding by a margin of close to 3 to 1.
