Garland Police Release Sketch of Suspect in Sexual Assault of Teen

GARLAND (WBAP/KLIF) – Garland Police have released a sketch of the wanted suspect they believe sexual assaulted of a teenage girl near Northwest Highway and Saturn Road on July 18th. The teenager told officers that she was walking behind some businesses when she saw a black four door car driving in her direction that stopped and backed into a parking space next to a dumpster bay. As she walked past the bay the suspect threatened her with a gun and sexually assaulted her.

Lieutenant Pedro Barineau said they have recovered video that shows the build of the suspect and the car driving behind the business. Officers believe the car is a black 2013 Hyundai Elantra.

“The suspect is described as a black male approximately 5’4 to 5’6 in height, skinny build, short haircut, has a full stubble beard, and he was wearing a faded black t-shirt, black pants and black boots,” said Barineau.

A reward of up to $5,000 has been offered by Garland Crime Stoppers for information leading to an arrest or grand jury indictment.
