ARLINGTON (WBAP/KLIF) – The Texas Rangers are suspending all promotions and advertising deals with Papa Johns.
Friday’s announcement from the team comes amid a scandal involving a racial slur used by Papa John’s Pizza founder John Schnatter.
The Rangers have partnered with the pizza chain for years with deals like getting discounts based on a certain number of runs scored.
The team isn’t alone. Other sports teams are also cutting ties with Papa Johns.
