FRISCO (WBAP/KLIF) – Frisco firefighters were deployed Wednesday to assist with wildfires in West Texas.
Frisco Fire Department was requested to respond to the Young County area as a part of the Texas Intrastate Fire Mutual Aid System. The department will send four firefighters on a Type III engine to assist in a state-wideeffort to battle a large wild fire in Young County.
The crew left from Frisco Central Fire Station to travel to Graham, Texas where they will receive their assignment.
The crew could be deployed for as long as a week.
