Dallas (WBAP/KLIF) – A new poll finds stiffer gun control laws have more support in Texas than many might expect. According to a new Quinnipiac survey half of all the registered voters in Texas support stricter gun control laws in general. In addition 50% also support an outright ban on assault weapons. 87% of us think having armed security officers in schools is a good idea. Quinnipiac says no single demographic group opposes that. 93% of us also express very high support for requiring background checks among all gun buyers. The pollsters say they couldn’t find any group that doesn’t approve of that.
