Alamo Draft House to Open New Location in North Richland Hills, Add 120 Jobs to Local Economy

NORTH RICHLAND HILLS  (WBAP/KLIF News) – The Alamo Draft House Cinema is promising to boost the North Richland Hills economy when its new location opens there next year.

The company’s co-owner Bill Di Gaetano said it’s positive impact on the city is two-fold.

“We like to hire as many of our staff members which can be up to 120 people and with some of the local universities and colleges that’s a big area where we draw a lot of our staff from,” he said.

Entertainment-based businesses has always been a draw to that demographic but Di Gaetano said his company also has a lot of room for growth.

“We actually just promoted 27 internal hourly staff members to management positions. So, we are very much a company that likes to grow, develop and promote from the inside,” he said.

The theater is the sixth location of its kind in North Texas. Di Gautano said the theaters have a proven track record of helping revamp the neighborhoods they move into.

“Our Richardson location and our Lake Highlands location are examples of us  going into more dated shopping centers and revitalizing them as the anchor. In Richardson, we’ve gotten incredible retail and restaurants such as Haystacks, Burgers and Barley and Taco Joint. In Lake Highlands, they’re re-tenanting that shopping center now as we soft opened last week,” he said.

The new location is expected to open in April of 2019.
