Sacramento (WBAP/KLIF) – A local protest in Sacramento impacted the Kings-Mavericks game last night.
There were only about 4-thousand people were in the stands of the 17-thousand seat Golden 1 Center; thousands more were stranded outside. They were blocked from entering by a protest over a police involved shooting in the city over a week ago.
The Sacramento Bee reports, protesters changing “Stephon Clark” told those trying to get in, “You ain’t seeing no game tonight. Join us or go home.”
The 22-year Clark died March 18 after two officers, believing he was a burglary suspect and armed, fired at him 20 times in his grandparents’ backyard. Clark was ‘armed’ with a cell phone.
